And we’re walking, and we’re walking…

These are the reviews I’ve received on Viator and Trip Advisor for the walking I do with a company. What I do on my own is streetrun. Say what? Streetrunning is a more spontaneous and intuitive way of moving through a city. On a streetrun we make it happen and we let it happen. See? It’s usually an experience to remember.

“Great guide Gil, wonderful tour which taught us so much about the area, including little secrets you would never find yourself!”–Susanne B

“Gil was a gem taking is all over and seemingly going the opposite way to the other tours meant we avoided the crowds of the other tour groups. Highly recommended.”–Whatson

“Gil was great-he not only showed the historical spots but he also showed us examples of current street art and told us about the street art scene. Very informative.”–Kimberly K

“Gil rocked this tour. The company allows him to use his education and wealth of knowledge to better this walking tour. We saw many things and learned much. It was a small group and Gil knew all the nooks and crannies.”–J Carver

“Our experience was great. Our guide Gil was amazing. It was one of the highlights of our week in Paris.”–Brigitte D

“We truly enjoyed Gil. He was very informative knowledgeable, personable, warm and engaging. He got to know everyone in our 12-13 person group. You can tell he really enjoyed giving these tours as he spoke with much excitement and energy and made the tour come to life. He did not miss explaining the details on any of the buildings or sites.”–Annie Gee

“This was probably the best tour of my holiday. The guide, Gil, was such a great storyteller he brought the city to life with his enthusiasm and passion. Loved hearing about the history of Paris in such depth.”–Megsie

“Gil was awesome and a super genius, very personable and informative! Loved the story and the walk!”–April

“This was our first tour after arriving in Paris and Gil was a lot of fun…our group was extremely small but that made it more fun!! Gil was very informative and attentive to us.”–Jennifer S

“I loved this tour. Gil Soltz was an amazing walking encyclopedia of the area and we thoroughly enjoyed the mix of intellect and human story. Recommended.”–Judy M

“Gil is a wonderful guide. We enjoyed the way he told us the stories of Le Marais, and showing us the most fascinating spots. Oh, and he also took us to a very nice pastry place as well.”–Olivia F

“It was a gray day with the Paris skies periodically crying on us. However, our guide Gil Soltz made the trip well worth the visit. We started at the Pompidou Center of Art (which looks like it’s still under construction…with all it’s ‘insides’ hanging out). We ended at the site of the Bastille. In between, we wandered the Paris streets, a warren of randomly connected neighborhoods.”–Barry S

“Gil was an excellent guide. From the moment our small group arrived our interest never stopped as he told us stories and shared his wealth of knowledge. He was very good at keeping the group together as we walked to just about every major site in the city centre. Thank you so much.”–Lyn

“This tour was just perfect. A good amount of history mixed in and Gil is probably the best tour guide we have ever had on any our past trips to Europe. He is gold. Keep him.”–Peter W

“This was a great walking tour hosted by the amazing Gil. We all had a blast even though it started pouring 20 mins after the tour started and never let up until the next day. Nevertheless we soldiered on with Gil and had an amazing time. We had a small group which was perfect and got to have lunch in the Tuilleries Garden. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone rain or shine.”–Fonta

“This was fantastic! a very easy way to see the main attractions of central Paris and have the rich history explained so well whilst looking at the buildings or monuments. Gil has an amazing depth of French knowledge among other topics and can adapt so well to the tour group, I absolutely recommend this to anyone early in their Paris stay.”–Wal

“My two twenty-something daughters and I took a Latin Quarter walk the last day of our trip to Paris. Gil was our guide and he was wonderful! He knew his stuff!!…and tailored the walk to our interests (there were only 3 other people on the tour). You could tell he was passionate about history and could answer all our questions! Lots of walking so be prepared…comfortable shoes and water. The only regret we had was that it was the last day of our trip. We certainly would have taken more tours if we had more time. A very FUN way to see and learn about the sites.”–Catherine

“Our guide was Gil and he was so great! He was super smart, kept a perfect pace for our group and was very kind and considerate. He made my first venture to Montmartre a perfect day!”–Soseki

“We went on the French Revolution walk of Paris in March. Our guide Gil was great. Although we were given lots of information it never felt like we were being overloaded. In fact, even though it was freezing cold, the two hour tour passed really quickly. The tour moves at a very easy pace and takes in quite a lot of sights you may have already seen (well we had) but we had never viewed them in regards to the Revolution so the information added to them made them even more interesting.”–Cybelle

“I’ve only done one of the Classic Walks tours. It was the World War II walk and our guide was Gil. The tour takes you to sites related to the Nazi occupation of Paris , the Resistance, and life of Parisians during this time period. There were only 4 people on this tour with the guide so we were able to ask a lot of questions and have mini-discussions about the time period. Gil was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all our questions.”–Jack
